We have obtained some RTX A6000 SPECviewperf 2020 benchmarks which we are sharing today. For the purposes of protecting our sources, we will be rounding these scores instead of giving the exact and precise scores we have. We have also obtained some figures for the RTX 6000 series from the SPECviewperf public database so we can compare the two GPUs. Without further ado, here are the scores:
The A6000 is certainly faster overall, but it’s not exactly the generational leap you might expect. At least the power draw from the A6000 shouldn’t be much higher than that of the RTX 6000 (according to the spec sheet anyways), and it also has double the VRAM. It’s not a pointless GPU but it might disappoint some, if SPECviewperf 2020 is a representative benchmark. It should be noted that we don’t know if this is a typical A6000; maybe it’s underperforming for some reason.
