Im on my 3rd RMA with the 2080 Super cards, figured ill bring it up here for some insights

First Card - MFG Date 2019 July - Gigabyte Arous 2080 Super (Micron Memory) - Artifacts and blanking on 3d workloads - Photoshop is fine - RMA

Second Card - MFG Date 2019 July - Gigabyte Arous 2080 Super (Micron Memory) - Artifacts and blanking on 3d workloads - Photoshop is fine - Refund

Third Card - MFG Date 2019 Sep - EVGA 2080 Super XC (Samsung Memory) - RMA

Tested on Intel 9900K and Ryzen 3800X systems with Ubuntu and Windows same issues. This is exactly the same Artifacting I'm seeing on every card - https://youtu.be/t5memuI5WD4

Down-clocking Memory fixes the issue, it crazy how these cards passed QA during production

I wonder why you keep getting the same product after 3 replacements. The RTX feature should be a big + for you to keep doing this. In your place I would request a refund and wait for the next AMD release of the bigger Navi chip that will for sure be faster and possibly cheaper than 2080 super. 7nm don't seem to have any quality problems so far. Only driver problems for some people that should be ironed out soon. My 5c.

Thanks for the information. With some tech stuff, like TVs, if it doesn't quite make the grade for quality control at the factory, it gets given a special designation product number, like -b. This indicates that it is to be sold in the Black Monday sales, which are apparently just a scam to clear inventory, stuff that would have to be discounted throughout the year otherwise.

Anyway, be wary of products sold on Black Monday, and check the part number for any suspicious prefixes of suffixes.

In your case, it is terrible that you received so many faulty units. No doubt the manufacturers would like to train the customers to get used to buying stuff that often doesn't work, so you have to keep buying! Did you have to pay the postage each time?
