So Intel just announced Cascade Lake X. Looks like a small bump in clock speeds, but massive price cuts. The 10980XE is less than half the 9980XE!
Looks like Intel is finally admitting their products were getting creamed in price/performance vs Ryzen 3000 and Threadripper 2 (and soon Threadripper 3). Hopefully these aggressive price cuts trickle down into their next generation desktop parts.
