ASUS has recently let out in a press release that their latest coolers will be compatible with AMD’s future AM5 motherboard platform. This is good news considering AMD is switching to LGA socket 1718 over the current PGA 1331. The ROG Ryujin, ROG Ryuo and ROG STRIX LC will fit using an AM5 mounting kit and the TUF Gaming LC coolers will use the existing kits.

The fact that the TUF Gaming coolers will work with the standard mounting kits was kind of surprising for me and while most of us will assume companies will keep their products compatible it’s good to see ASUS getting ahead of the curve on this one. No info was given on the dates of availability or if there will be a charge for customers using the ROG coolers.
